˚ʚ♡ɞ˚ Jewelry care guide˚ʚ♡ɞ˚
This page contains care tips on how to extend the life of your jewelry.
Store properly
- Store it separately from other jewelry to avoid tangling, & scratches.
- Keep it in a closed box, jewelry holder or pouch where it's safe from getting dropped, avoid direct sunlight, especially in warmer seasons.
- Do not store anything ON the jewelry, since most beads are made out of glass, placing objects/items on it can damage, chip or shatter the glass.
- Necklaces—especially intricate or detailed designs—are more likely to tangle. To help prevent this, consider hanging them in a dry, secure place away from direct sunlight.
- Make sure to close the clasps while storing
Avoid water & other liquids
- Most pieces are made from stainless steel, which is more resistant to rust than most metals, but exposure to water, chlorine, or alcohol can still cause damage over time.
- Remove before swimming, showering, or washing your hands.
- Avoid contact with perfumes, lotions, excess sweat and other liquids, as they may affect the finish or durability.
- Pieces which contain plating or other metals such as brass, bronze, gold plating need extra attention and care to avoid liquids.
Handle with care
- Avoid pulling, tagging or stretching the chains, as this can weaken them over time and potentially make the jump rings open up which can lead to the jewelry breaking
- Make sure to remove before exercising and going to bed
Other tips
- Always choose the correct jewelry size—there should be enough space to fit 1–2 fingers between the piece and your skin. A fit that's too tight can strain the chains & jump rings, making them more likely to open or break.
- Before every wear make sure all the jump rings & chains are properly closed to avoid losing or breaking any part of the jewelry.
